Whote has been described as "An organically confrontational experience" and "A mirage of heavy guitar textures stirring above dense, dark ambient movements."
Whote started with the intention to make music to deliver themes of armageddon, but a creative shift was made to focus on new beginnings -- built from a framework of DIY values of making your own music and merch, producing your own records on your terms -- a value once found in Punk Rock and the golden age when rock music valued freedom and rebellion.
ALIGN the first release, was constructed to offer a chilling and chaotic experience with artwork set to give the listener a point of reference and setting -- a place of vulnerability, a place being torn apart, invaded, destroyed and ready to build anew. The bird and nest motif work as symbols of strength and adaptation, inspired by the summer tornadoes of 2010 when the album was being put together. Each track on ALIGN encourages the listener to conjure any further visuals and critics can read into their own fears as they see fit...
2013 will bring forth the next Whote release. The listener will notice a significant turn in the music, narratives and stronger visuals representing the shapeshift towards something earthbound, bloodlusting and vehement...a soundtrack less about things 'falling from the sky' and more about an establishment of terrain...if only reptiles could sing...
